Military Counterterrorism Exercise over LA

Last night five military helicopters hovering over downtown LA were captured on video.

The LAPD described this hush-hush operation as a special urban warfare drill.

The footage, captured by different media station like CBS Los Angeles, KCAL9 and others, shows a huge Black Hawk helicopter flying over the US bank building accompanied with another four OH-6 choppers, called “Little Birds.”

According to the journalists the Black Hawk performed a drop off in a nearby park and later the helicopters were spotted above the Dodger Stadium and flying low over the Staples Center as the LA Lakers played inside. This ops is yet another in a spate of recent military drills to hit heavily populated areas throught the U.S.

 

This exercise is supposed to last one more night and presumably is training the military for an environment that will be faced in the nearest future – warfare in a city, urban area, prepare forces for upcoming overseas deployments, and meet mandatory training requirements.
