Yuri Gagarin, first human in space, April 12, 1961. He was my hero. Sent me a signed letter and a couple of pounds of space data and photography, very diligently examined by the FBI and turned over to my dad who, after fighting for "freedom" in Europe, had the sense to give it to me intact.
