Human Photography: Harley Davidson Fans In Raw…

Human Photography: Harley Davidson Fans In Raw Form

I grew up in a very conservative Christian family in a small town. I never even left the country until I was an adult. In my hometown, everyone knows everyone. My uncle is the chief of police, and there are no strangers. Back when I was growing up there, tattoos were considered extreme and only the bad kids in high school smoked. Of course, times have changed. I moved to the big city of Atlanta in 1996 to work at the Olympics, and suddenly a whole new world opened up to me. It was like a slice of heaven.
Now, as an adult, I’m all about self-expression. It doesn’t matter what form it may take. I’m just a fan of people being creative, artistic and wearing their personality so the world can see it. Photographer Sacha Goldberger obviously appreciates this also. You may have seen her work on other blogs recently because this girl has been insanely busy, taking photographs of interesting people in interesting situations all over the place.
In one of her projects, Sacha photographed 80 Harley Davidson enthusiasts. If you are at all familiar with people who own a Harley, you know it isn’t just motorcycle, it’s a way of life. Sacha is a Harley rider herself, so I’m sure she can relate on a personal level to her photographs. These are fascinating to me because they illustrate so much about these wonderful people. I can see so much here. They almost make me want to go get my first tattoo today. Okay, maybe not. #chicken :)
