Celebrate Earth Day on April 22nd!We hope that you can take time this weekend to celebrate Earth Day in some way. If you are close to Washington, DC, join the students from iMatter/Kids vs Global Warming on their march from the National Mall to the DC Courthouse and back to the Mall for a rally. These teens are suing 49 states and six federal agencies for not addressing climate change adequately and placing their future in jeopardy. At 5 pm, we will premier the inspiring documentary on climate change activism, “Just Do It.” Director Emily James and iMatter representatives will be present for a Q and A afterwards. The film is free and open to the public at Bus Boys and Poets at 5th and K Sts, NW.Next week, the focus will be on political prisoners and mass incarceration in the US.
