New Premieres Worth the Effort of Lifting the Remote

New Premieres Worth the Effort of Lifting the Remote

Despite some lame-sounding offerings (The Playboy Club on a broadcast network?! We're sure that will be super-sexy) there are three upcoming newbies that get our little dork hearts all a flutter. Ladies and gentlemen, set your DVRs to fun!

Jurassic Perk -Terra Nova is the very expensive Steven Spielberg-produced show that starts in the year 2149. We've messed up the planet and we're threatened with extinction: seems we need actual oxygen to breathe. Pilgrims join an expedition to time-travel back 85 million years for a do-over. And hey, it's got dinosaurs! (Sept 26, 8 p.m., Fox)

The Silver Scream -American Horror Story is a spooky show about a family who moves into a haunted old mansion in LA. Oh, we've got all sorts of pesky, botoxed ghosts out here in La La Land. We're wondering if the ghosts retain their plastic-surgery look while haunting. (Oct 5, 10 p.m., FX)

Fear-y Tale - In Grimm, a homicide detective in Portland learns that he comes from a long line of hunters known as ''Grimms,'' who fight to keep humanity safe from the supernatural creatures of the world. If you watch True Blood, you know what happens when supes invade. Blood, guts and general mayhem. Maybe we'll get to see a homicidal Cinderella.  Actually, we're really hoping for that one. (Oct 21, 9 p.m., NBC)
