FAMILY: WITHOUT THEM LIFE WOULD BE WITHOUT INTERERST

Kind of excited!!  As many of you may recall, I studied violin through high school.  We had two violins in the family:  good ones.  When sweet mom left for her Florida retirement community -- a surprise to me;  one day I showed up at her home and she as gone -- she took with her three items precious to me:  my concert violin;  the orchestral instrument;  and the Walter P-38 promised to me by my father in writing.  The two instruments have "disappeared" even though I offered to pay for them;  promises were made to find them, but the nieces who made the promises have ceased talking to me.  Same with the P-38.  I have all of the personal effects of the German boy my father killed in self-defense.  I had hoped to return all of it, including the weapon, to his offspring.

At one point before my brother moved back to Pittsburgh he sent me the actual violin case that held my instrument.  My instrument wasn't in the case;  rather, it contained some really, really cheap Asian knockoff violin as well as the original horsehair bows, etc.  Remember, I had offered to pay him what he needed to retrieve my instrument, as well as the market value for the P-38.

This package of deception has been both hurtful and disgusting to me.  I think he sold the P-38 and the instruments.  Now I'm poor ad there is no hope of retrieving them.

Enter a TRUE friend, who prefers to remain nameless.  He showed up at my door the other night with a useeable violin that I can actually play with satisfaction.  Thank you.  Thank you!!!!  As for the P-38...well...I have a repro of the original and that will have to do.

I am blessed:)
