Memorial Day for me is not about politics and picnics, right or wrong wars, or consumer spending. I spend time thinking about the many friends and relatives, and all the citizens, who have died in our wars, from the Civil War through these endless 21st century wars. Most important, please do have compassion on those who have returned with the many scars of war.
